Anna Julia Cooper

I discovered Anna Julia Cooper via the Diary of an Anxious Black Woman. Now I must urgently read her dissertation on Haiti, Slavery and the French Revolutionists. She has another interesting book in English, A Voice from the South, and apparently also one in French on Charlemagne. (Is this a translation of a medieval epic from Old French to modern French, or is that one work? Is there also a translation to English? Is there also a commentary? I have not figured these things out). She eventually had trouble in academia because she was smart. All of this is extremely interesting.

Axé.
