Some Supplemental Materials for the Introduction to Literature

I have a textbook. I have supplemented it sometimes with Lorca essays on poetry and poetics; sometimes with John Berger, Ways of Seeing; sometimes with Nick Cave, The Flesh Made Word. I had been thinking of supplementing with Barthes, Mythologies.

Or I could use some things suggested by Jonathan Mayhew: his new piece on Lorca, and/or some parts of this book, which we have: More than cool reason: a field guide to poetic metaphor; by Lakoff, George; University of Chicago Press, 1989; xii, 230 p.; PN228.M4 L27 1989.
