Racial Subordination in Latin America

I am on the right track and I have been for years. I only need to ignore everyone and read and write.

I must get the actual book. From the first few pages, available in PDF from the publisher, we learn that it is about the denial of racism in Latin America. It focuses on Afro-descendants and their relationship to the state, in their effort to become visible as full citizens after slavery, in states where racism still structures daily and civic life.

The book talks about the denial of racism that cloaks actual racism, and the rhetoric of innocence that interdicts discussion of the issue.

The book costs $90 and I have requested it through Interlibrary Loan.
