Violence and Identity

in the discourse of Latin American letters, 1810-1930

I have lost my description of this but we were going to see Camila on Nano’s recommendation.

The concept is: the huge violence of the 19th century as identities were being hammered out. My idea was States of Ruin: states in ruins before even being founded, something like this.

I was illuminated when I invented this and it was going right on with my book.

Was I reading Sanjinés? I could just start somewhere. Or I could ditch this topic.
